Shutter...what? It's Shutterfly!

So a have seen a ton of blogs that I follow post about Shutterfly's Christmas cards. I decided to take a gander at the site and see what all the buzz is about. Hello, they have the cutest product ever! I have always wanted to do christmas cards. I even thought about doing a photo thank you card from my wedding but never did. Now is the perfect time to do this. I am so excited to send a card out to my family and friends. I love the idea of putting our picture on the card. Us being in the military and living in Alaska means we don't get the chance to see family as much as we would like to so putting a picture can let them see us and get a glimpse of how we have changed. These are the designs I like the best:

I am really digging the first two and definitely think I am going to go with one of those. 

While also on the site I saw that they do calendars, and for really good prices. That is a great gift idea. Or even something fun to hang up in your house because the photo changes every month. 

I love looking through their different options, they literally have anything you could want. Cards, Birthday Cards, Invitations, Cards with just the picture, or cards with a picture and a personalized note. EVERYTHING! It's just so fantastic! Check them out.

Harry Potter

When I was a freshman in High School, I had to read a book of my choice for english class and write a book report. My mom had just read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone and somehow convinced me to read it too. 

Who wants to read about magic? Thats all I could think. But I ended up choosing it and trying to read it. I got to chapter two and couldn't read any farther. Time was running out though and I had to complete the book. My partner in Guitar was a fast reader so I paid him $10 to read it and tell me what it was about. Then when I got married I learned my husband LOVED Harry Potter. He had read the series like 7 times. I told myself I married a loser. Then he convinced me to read them. It took forever for me to read the first book but once I finished I was officially hooked. I read the rest of the series in a few months. That is really fast for me. Now I LOVE the series just like my husband and the movies are great too.

This weekend we went and saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. The movie was SO SO SO good! We definitely will be going to this one a couple times while it is in theaters.

  

I can't wait till the summer now when the last one comes out. I think I am going to feel empty inside when the series is complete. I just wish it could go on and on.

 And just for fun I thought I would post a picture of my Popo. This was before we got him. When I saw this picture how could I resist taking him into my home and making him my own?

bored at work

So Popo likes to lay in front of the fire but the other day i layed next to it and he came up so brandon layed him on my back. i love this little guy he is so cute, even if he has creepy eyes in this photo.

These are my new glasses, they came in yesterday! I love them.

This is a happy post.

I'm sitting on the couch and I open up blogger and then my husband proceeds to say "Are you angry?" me- "No, why?" Brandon- "Because your blogs are always angry."

Is this true? Gosh I hope not. I mean a lot of things lately have made me mad, and I have talked about them but I don't think every blog lately has been me mad. So with that said I am going to talk about only happy things in this blog.

We got a phone call yesterday. It was the housing office telling us we are finally going to get a house on post! YAY! We got on the wait list when we got here and we were 27, we stayed on the wait list even though we signed a year lease when we found this apartment. Well our lease is up in February and that's exactly when we get to move in. There is a pic of the house below. It is a three bedroom two and a half bath. So Amazing! I can't wait to move in.

Harry Potter comes out tomorrow and I am so excited! I love the Harry Potter books and the movies are so great. I told my husband we will be seeing the movie this weekend sometime.

Brandon got home last week, we had a 4 day weekend together and it was fun. We aren't the type pf people that do a ton. We like to sit back, relax and enjoy our time together. That's what we did. Thursday we went to a movie and saw Morning Glory. That movie is so cute. Not really what I was expecting but I really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend it to others. Then Friday we both had doctors appointments so we spent the day doing those. Saturday we went to our friends house to hang out and have dinner. They have twins that are 3 and this was the first time that I have seen them. Wow they are definitely fraternal. one has straight blond hair and the other has curly curly dark brown hair. It was so weird seeing how different they are. I am a twin and while we don't know yet if we are identical or fraternal, I really think we are identical when you compare us to twins like that. The mom is also a twin so we were talking about how I can increase the chance of having twins. I really want twins. I hope I carry on the twin gene so bad. 

So that's about all for now. I know I have more to talk about but I think I will do another post tomorrow so I don't make this one too long. Oh and forgive me for the changing background so often. I really want to get my blog to the point where I really like it but it is taking some time. Hopefully soon I will get it there. Who knows maybe only 3 people read this and they don't even realise it changes all the time. oh well I guess I'm just updating those three people.

Just Another Day

Today at work we had a bit of fun. We are doing a little bit of cleaning things out and there was this bin full of paper mache streamers. When I was told they were going to the trash me and the boys decided to have a little bit of fun. We have this really long hallway that we decided to throw the streamers down. I also discovered that if you take the roll and push out the middle the streamers start to flow out like a fountain! So while we are running up and down the hallway with our streamers the boys decide to see how strong they actually are. so they tell me to stand there an hold each of their ends and they proceeded to run around me and wrap me up like a mummy. they got around me a good amount of times but then both of them got dizzy and decided that was over. If they had used the entire roll I would have been wrapped tight and probably not been able to get out. It was the highlight of my day!

Also my wish from the other day came true. We got SNOW! its been snowing a good amount lately and it makes me real excited. I love the look of fresh snow! It is supposed to keep snowing this weekend and I am super excited about it. 

So it is finally the weekend and I am super excited for tomorrow. I plan on going to the craft store and getting some supplies for some things I have seen and want to make. I will make sure to take pics and show you before and afters. 

Brandon comes home on Wednesday (hopefully). It is definitely time to have him home for awhile. Thursday is Veterans day and then He has Friday off as well so I took Friday off. We get a 4 day weekend to spend together and trust me it is long overdue.
